Heartland Stair Lift (Heartland Stairlift LLC) is an independent, two-person family business founded in 2026 by Rick Neiheiser and based in Gasconade, Missouri.

How much stair lift experience does Heartland have?

Heartland itself is new in 2026. Rick reports about 30 years in service, construction and business, including 15 years installing and maintaining stair lifts and roughly 100 installations for other companies.

Note: The installation count and years describe Rick's prior work for other companies, not jobs completed by Heartland Stair Lift.

Is Heartland insured?

Rick reports that Heartland carries liability insurance. Ask for a certificate if you need one.

Note: No licenses or certifications are claimed.

Owner-reported

Can I visit a showroom?

No. 372 Ash Street in Gasconade is an office and warehouse, not a walk-in showroom. Assessments happen at your home.

Owner-reported

What are your hours?

Office hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM; please call to confirm business days. Assessment requests are a separate schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekend visits only by approved special arrangement.

Calls outside office hours can leave a message for a callback. Every requested assessment time must be approved by Rick or the Heartland team before it is confirmed.

Requires confirmation: The days that office hours apply are not yet confirmed.

Owner-reported

What is Heartland's approach?

Fair pricing, personal care, no pressure, and recommending the equipment that actually fits the person and the staircase.

Note: We don't claim to be the cheapest or the best; compare written quotes.

Do you have reviews or past Heartland projects to show?

Not yet. Heartland is a new company, so there are no Heartland reviews or project photos to show. We will add real ones only with customer permission.

Pricing and quotes

How much does a stair lift cost?

Basic straight stair lift installations start at $4,995 plus sales tax, including delivery and standard installation. Curved, outdoor and specialty lifts are priced after measuring.

Options, site conditions, electrical work, travel and expedited scheduling can add cost. You get a written scope and price before deciding.

Note: Starting price only — not a quote for your staircase.

Read moreOwner-reported

How long is a quote valid, and what is the payment schedule?

Written quotes are valid for 30 days. A 50% deposit is due to order, with the balance due when installation is complete.

Note: The quote states the scope and price in writing; it is not guaranteed to be itemized line by line.

Read moreOwner-reported

Do you price-match?

There is no automatic price match. Rick will review a written quote for comparable equipment and scope and tell you what he can do.

In-home assessment

Is the in-home assessment free?

Assessments are free within the qualifying 40-mile service radius. Beyond 40 miles, a $75 assessment fee applies and is credited toward your lift purchase. Eligibility and distance are confirmed for each address when you request a visit.

Requires confirmation: How the 40-mile distance is measured is confirmed for each address.

Book an appointmentOwner-reported

What happens at an assessment, and how long does it take?

Rick measures the staircase, checks power and parking positions, talks through how the lift will be used, and explains the options. The visit itself usually takes 15 to 30 minutes.

The online booking calendar reserves a longer time slot than the visit itself usually takes.

Read moreOwner-reported

How soon can I get an assessment?

Usually within about a week. Assessment requests are taken Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; weekend visits are only by approved special arrangement. Every requested time must be approved by Rick or the Heartland team before it is confirmed, generally within 48 hours.

Book an appointmentOwner-reported

Can I send photos of my stairs first?

Yes, if you can. Photos and/or your own measurements of the staircase are welcome when possible and can help a preliminary conversation. They are optional, never required, and are not proof of fit or safety — a final recommendation always needs an in-person assessment.

Owner-reported

What does Rick measure at the assessment?

The rise, run, pitch and head clearance of the staircase, the space at the top and bottom, where doorways sit, where power can be reached, and how much walking width remains with the seat folded.

You get the recommendation and total cost in writing before deciding. If a different solution would suit you better than a stair lift, we will say so.

Products and models

What brand of stair lifts do you sell?

Heartland sells and installs AmeriGlide stair lifts. Models include the Rave and Rave 2 straight lifts (with a folding-track rail option), the Rave Outdoor, the Rave HD and the Rubex AC cable lift. Curved lifts are also available; the exact curved model is confirmed in the written quote.

Note: Model specifications vary; we confirm the exact model and its published specifications in your written quote.

What kinds of staircases can you fit?

Straight, curved, outdoor, basement and split-level staircases. Narrow, spiral or unusual staircases are possible in some cases, subject to an in-person inspection.

Do you rent stair lifts?

Not at this time. Rentals and rent-to-own are not currently offered. Refurbished lifts are a lower-cost option to ask about.

What kind of staircase is the AmeriGlide Infinity made for?

The AmeriGlide Infinity is an indoor curved stair lift with a rail made to follow a staircase with turns, bends or landings. Fit and current availability must be confirmed after an in-home measurement.

Note: This does not confirm inventory, dealer status, an outdoor configuration or suitability for a particular home.

Which Infinity features are standard, and which are optional?

Manufacturer materials list folding arms and footrest, removable seat covers, footrest obstruction sensors, a retractable seat belt, key lock, two remotes, and soft start and stop as standard. Powered swivel is optional.

Note: Exact upholstery and configuration must be confirmed in the written quote.

What are the verified core specifications of the Harmar Pinnacle SL600HD?

Harmar lists the Pinnacle SL600HD as an indoor straight stair lift with a 600-pound rated capacity and 14-feet-per-minute travel speed.

Note: Seat dimensions, folded width and incline range are omitted because the supplied 2018 brochure and current manufacturer sources conflict. Fit and availability must be confirmed.

What is a straight stair lift?

A straight lift runs on one rail fixed to the treads of a single flight with no turns, bends or intermediate landings. It is normally the quickest type to measure and install.

Basic straight installations start at $4,995 plus sales tax, including delivery and standard installation, and are typically supplied and installed in about 7 to 10 days, subject to availability.

Note: Starting price and timing are not a quote or a guaranteed date.

Read moreOwner-reported

What is a curved stair lift?

A curved lift uses a rail manufactured to your staircase's exact geometry, so it can follow turns, quarter-turns, half-turns and continuous travel around a landing.

Curved lifts are priced after measuring and typically take about 8 to 10 weeks, subject to the manufacturer.

Read moreOwner-reported

Can a stair lift be installed outdoors?

Yes. Outdoor lifts use weather-resistant components and a protective cover, and need a safe, outdoor-rated power supply. Keeping the rail clear of snow, ice and debris is part of normal use.

Step material, drainage, sun exposure and landing depth are checked at the assessment. Where a ramp or vertical platform lift would suit better, we will say so; Heartland does not install those.

Read moreOwner-reported

Do the model guide pages mean those models are in stock?

No. The AmeriGlide Infinity and Harmar Pinnacle SL600HD pages explain manufacturer information only. Ask Rick about current availability and the exact configuration for your home.

Requires confirmation: Current availability, model variant and configuration must be confirmed with Rick.

Will it fit my stairs?

Will a stair lift damage my walls or stairs?

The rail mounts to the stair treads, not the wall. Mounting leaves screw holes in the treads if the lift is removed later, and carpet under the brackets may compress or be marked.

My stairs have a landing. Do I need a curved lift?

Often, but not always. A curved rail can run continuously around a landing. Some homes instead use two straight lifts with a transfer at the landing, which only works if the rider can transfer safely — that has to be judged in person.

Read moreOwner-reported

Can other people still use the stairs?

Usually. The seat, arms and footrest fold when parked. How much walking width remains depends on your staircase and is measured during the assessment.

Read moreOwner-reported

Do I need an electrical outlet?

Ordinarily one standard outlet near the top or bottom of the stairs is needed. If there isn't one, outlet work can be arranged as part of the job.

Owner-reported

Which type of stair lift does my staircase need?

A single flight with no turn or landing takes a straight lift, a turning staircase usually needs a curved rail, and exterior steps need an outdoor lift. A landing does not automatically mean curved: two straight lifts can sometimes work, but only where the rider can transfer safely at the landing.

Note: The type is confirmed by in-person measurement, not from a description or photos.

Power and outages

Does a stair lift work during a power outage?

Battery-powered models can keep running during an outage for a limited time, depending on battery charge and condition. The Rubex AC runs on household power and will not operate without it.

Note: Not every model has battery backup; ask which type is in your quote.

Read moreOwner-reported

Installation and timing

How long until my stair lift is installed?

A typical straight lift is supplied and installed in about 7 to 10 days, subject to availability. Curved lifts take roughly 8 to 10 weeks because the rail is made for your staircase.

Same-day or expedited installation is sometimes possible with owner approval and stock on hand, but is never guaranteed and may cost extra.

Read moreOwner-reported

What happens on installation day?

A straight installation typically takes 4 to 6 hours. We protect floors, clean up, test operation, charging and safety features, then train the household and leave printed instructions, followed by a follow-up check.

Read moreOwner-reported

What are the steps from first call to a working lift?

In-home assessment, a written scope and price valid for 30 days, a 50% deposit to order, installation, and the balance on completion. The rail mounts to the treads, often without major remodeling.

How fast can you come if my lift stops working?

A visit within 72 hours may be possible, depending on workload and availability; timing must be confirmed and may be longer. Evening or weekend visits depend on technician availability and carry an extra fee.

Do stair lifts need maintenance?

Yes. Maintenance visits are available; the recommended schedule depends on the manufacturer and model. Parts and batteries are available depending on stock.

What can I check before calling for service?

Only simple, manufacturer-approved checks: make sure the lift is plugged in or parked on its charging point, the key switch is on, and nothing is blocking the rail or footrest. Don't bypass safety switches or attempt electrical repairs.

What repair and service work do you do?

Lifts that have stopped, beep or move intermittently; battery replacement and parts depending on stock and model; and periodic maintenance on the manufacturer's schedule.

When you call, have the make and model, who installed it and roughly when, what it is doing and any error display. Photos help if you can take them safely.

Note: Don't bypass safety switches, open covers, attempt electrical repairs, or keep using a lift that grinds or moves unevenly.

New and refurbished lifts

Do you sell used or refurbished stair lifts?

Yes, alongside new units. Used lifts are inspected, cleaned, sanitized and tested in our warehouse before they are offered.

Note: Availability depends on stock and whether a unit suits your staircase.

Will a refurbished lift work on my stairs?

Refurbished lifts mostly suit straight staircases where a stocked rail can be fitted or cut to length. It depends on what is in stock and on your staircase.

Ask what model it is, how old it is, what was replaced or tested, and what warranty applies in writing.

Requires confirmation: Refurbished inventory and the warranty for a specific unit are confirmed in the written quote.

Warranty

What manufacturer warranty is published for the AmeriGlide Infinity?

AmeriGlide's product-specific limited warranty lists 2 years for component parts and the drivetrain, plus a separate 30-day term for batteries supplied by AmeriGlide. It applies to the original purchaser, is nontransferable and excludes labor. The exact written terms, exclusions and maintenance requirements apply to the supplied unit.

Note: This is manufacturer coverage, not Heartland coverage. Heartland separately provides one year of free labor and service on its installations; service fees apply after the first year. Heartland's coverage is stated in your written quote.

What power and manufacturer warranty information is published for the SL600HD?

Harmar publishes a 24V DC, 2A power supply with 120V AC charger input and limited manufacturer coverage of three years on parts, ten years on the gear rack and one year on the battery.

Note: Battery performance varies with charge, condition and use. Written manufacturer terms apply. This is manufacturer coverage. What warranty comes with a stair lift?

There are two separate parts. The manufacturer's warranty covers the equipment and varies by model, so we don't quote one blanket term — the model-specific written terms come with your quote. Heartland separately provides one year of free labor and service on its installations; service fees apply after the first year.

Is the manufacturer warranty the same as Heartland's coverage?

No. Manufacturer coverage applies to the equipment under the manufacturer's model-specific written terms. Heartland's own coverage is separate: one year of free labor and service on its installations, with service fees applying after the first year.

Requires confirmation: Service fee amounts after the first year are quoted when service is requested.
