Independence at home

Your Stairs Shouldn't Decide Where You Can Live

For many families, the staircase is the one thing standing between staying home and moving out. A stair lift restores the whole house — the bedroom upstairs, the laundry downstairs, the front porch — often without major remodeling or a move.

  • Use every floor againReach bedrooms, bathrooms, and laundry without planning your day around the stairs.
  • Reduce stair useA stair lift can reduce the need to climb stairs. Safe transfers, correct use, and an appropriate fit still matter.
  • Peace of mind for the whole familyAging in place works best when everyone — including the adult children — feels confident about safety.

The Right Lift for Your Staircase

Every staircase is different. Here are the main types we install for Missouri homes — refurbished units are available too.

Straight Stair Lifts

For staircases that run in a single straight line with no turns or landings. Typically the fastest option to measure and install.

How it works

A Safer Home in Three Simple Steps

  1. Request an In-Home Assessment

Request a time Monday–Friday, 9 AM–7 PM (weekends only by approved special arrangement). Free within the qualifying 40-mile radius; beyond 40 miles a $75 fee applies, credited toward your lift. Rick or the team approves every request.

  2. Rick Measures and Explains Your Options

A 15–30 minute visit to measure the staircase and talk about daily use, followed by a written scope and price valid for 30 days.

  3. Professional Installation

A typical straight lift is installed in 7–10 days, in 4–6 hours on the day, with testing, training and printed instructions.

Helping Mom or Dad Stay Safely at Home?

If you're the one researching this, you're probably weighing safety against independence — and trying not to take anything away from someone you love. A stair lift is usually the least disruptive option: it often requires no major remodeling, no moving, and no giving up the upstairs.

Rick is happy to talk it through with you first, even if your parent isn't ready yet. We can explain how a lift works on their specific staircase, what installation looks like, and what questions to ask.

  • Understand which lift fits their staircase
  • Know what installation day actually involves
  • Get a written scope and price to share with siblings
