Our process

What to Expect from Your Installation

Here's exactly what happens from your first call to the day your stair lift is running. Heartland is a new company, so instead of a project gallery this page explains our process honestly — real installation photos will be added only with homeowners' permission.

Before installation

  • In-home assessment, usually 15–30 minutes (free within the qualifying 40-mile service radius; confirm eligibility when requesting)
  • Written scope and price, valid for 30 days
  • 50% deposit to order; balance on completion
  • Typical straight lift: about 7–10 days to supply and install, subject to availability
  • Curved lift: about 8–10 weeks, subject to the manufacturer

On the day

  • Floors are protected where we work
  • The rail is fastened to the treads — not the wall
  • A straight installation typically takes 4–6 hours
  • Operation, charging and safety features are tested
  • Everyone who'll use the lift is shown how, with printed instructions
  • We clean up before we leave

After

We follow up after installation. Maintenance, parts and repairs are available. Heartland provides one year of free labor and service on its installations (service fees apply after the first year); the manufacturer's warranty for your model is separate and in writing with your quote.

Common questions

How long until my stair lift is installed?
A typical straight lift is supplied and installed in about 7 to 10 days, subject to availability. Curved lifts take roughly 8 to 10 weeks because the rail is made for your staircase.
What happens on installation day?
A straight installation typically takes 4 to 6 hours. We protect floors, clean up, test operation, charging and safety features, then train the household and leave printed instructions, followed by a follow-up check.
Will a stair lift damage my walls or stairs?
The rail mounts to the stair treads, not the wall. Mounting leaves screw holes in the treads if the lift is removed later, and carpet under the brackets may compress or be marked.
Do you have reviews or past Heartland projects to show?
Not yet. Heartland is a new company, so there are no Heartland reviews or project photos to show. We will add real ones only with customer permission.
